What do the Baha’is of Miracle Springs believe?

Baha’is everywhere believe the same thing because there is only one Baha’i faith.

Progressive Revelation

"Unto this beareth witness My glorious and wondrous Book"

What do Baha’is believe? Baha’is believe what all true religions believe. For example, all religions believe in progressive revelation up to a point. Christians believe the Old Testament and the Gospel, but nothing more. The Muslims believe in the Old Testament, the Gospel, and Muhammud, but not one inch more.

There is only One God and the Manifestations of God prove that each time God renews His covenant with humanity, He does it with a new name. Isaiah 62:2 says: “The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your Glory; and you will be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will designate.”

Baha’is believe that progressive revelation is the instrument of God that creates an ever-advancing civilization. Humanity tends to fall in love with the lamps of God and not the light of God. Imagine a school in which the students refuse to advance to the next class at the end of the year. They all want to stay in Kindergarten, or the first grade because they love their teacher. This is the plight of humanity. They fall in love with the lamp; in this case, the teacher and not the light of a continuing education.

During Baha'u'llah's 40 years of exile and imprisonment by the Persian and Ottoman Empires, He was sent "from mountain to mountain and from sea to sea" as prophesied in the Bible.

Why do Baha'is believe?

"Give ye a hearing ear to the counsels of the Pen of Glory"
In Matthew 22:14 of the New Testament Jesus says, "Many are called but few are chosen." Today, all the peoples of the earth - all the diverse cultures and religions - are being called by Baha'u'llah, the divine educator, the Manifestation of God, into one faith. All are being called but the individual chooses to believe. Simply put Baha'is believe because they investigated to see for themselves if Baha'u'llah is who He claims to be. It's easy to investigate. Read some of His writing and decide whether or not you believe the divinely inspired teachings of Baha'u'llah can unite humanity and heal the earth. In fact, there are many reasons why Baha'is believe. Some upon hearing the message of Baha'u'llah have an epiphany and instantly believe. Others take longer. But, in summary, each Baha'i believes because his or her mind, heart, and soul responds to the clarion call of the Manifestation of God.

"That which the Lord hath ordained as the sovereign remedy and mightiest instrument for the healing of all the world is the union of all its peoples in one universal Cause, one common Faith."

Teachings and Principles of the Baha’i Faith

One God

There is only One God the Creator of Heaven and Earth. None of the manifestations or prophets are God.

Humanity is one family

The human race is one family. All people are equal in the sight of God. Slavery, war, and cruelty are forbidden.

Men and women are equal

Baha’u’llah is the only messenger, prophet, or Manifestation of God to state men and women are equal.

The Harmony of Science and religion

Science without religion becomes destructive and religion without science produces ignorance and superstition.

The Elimination of all forms of prejudice

Prejudice is a disease. It produces people who don’t think for themselves and default to their weaknesses.

The need for universal compulsory education

Humanity cannot advance without universal education because education of boys and girls advances civilization.

Obedience to government and non-involvement in partisan politics

Politics divides people and disobedience to government leads to anarchy, destruction, and oppression.

A world where Independent investigation of truth is prized produces freedom

People prize freedom over oppression but it can never be achieved without independent investigation of truth.

The Elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty through appeals to justice

Given universal education and striving for world peace will inspire the rich to share more wealth of their own volition.

"Rely upon God, thy God and the Lord of thy fathers."
